The Plumeria:  Plumeria acuminata, P. obtusa, P. rubra, Pua Melia

  • A Tropical American native tree common in Hawaii.
  • Found in most tropical regions of the world.
  • Part of Perwinkle family.
  • Very fragrant, most popularly used for leis, great for floral arrangements.
  • Most varieties are long lasting.
  • Succulent, grows well from cuttings/slips.

Growing Directions:

  1. Obtanin a container with drainage holes.  Place 1 to 3 inches of gravel or stones on bottom of container for good drainage.
  2. Use a media of equal parts of top soil and sand or fone gravel.
  3. It grows well in open sunny areas.
  4. Water the plumeria when media is dry.  Do not over water.
  5.
